3.82 Make all Layers Visible

1. Introduction

The Fixup Make all Layers Visible is available in the Workflow. The purpose of this Fixup is to show all layers with the objects on them and change the appearance of the Print Items.

2. General

The Fixup Make all Layers Visible can be used if you want to see all objects in the document. This will show all layers and change the appearance of the Print Items.

You can find this Fixup on the tab Data Preparation of an Article, Order or Production Job by:

  • entering the name of the Fixup in the area Filter,
  • activating the option Layer in the area Category,
  • activating the option Make Visible in the area Action.

3. Description

This Fixup can be used to reveal all hidden layers, including all objects located on those layers. Please note that all layers will be shown when using this Fixup. For selective visibility, use the The Fixup Make Selected Layers Visible.

3.1. Prerequisites and Functionality

For this Fixup to perform as intended, the following requirements must be met:

  • Print Items have multiple layers.
  • One or more layers must be hidden.

No further options can be selected.

3.2. Before/After

To experiment with this function, refer to the sample file "Layer_Sample.pdf". The sample file contains six layers, two of which are hidden and four of which are shown.

After applying the Fixup, the file "Layer_Sample_End.pdf" is created, where all layers are displayed.
