2.12 Create Dieline (Fixup Group)

Updated on

In this article, you will learn

  • how to add a Dieline,
  • how to create Dielines from the center of the image and
  • how to add an additional Dieline.

1. Introduction

In some cases, a Dieline is required for an Article or Print Item in order to generate cutting data for a Cutter Device. Dielines can be added in a variety of ways. There are a few Fixups available in the Workflow for this purpose.

2. General

The following Fixups are located in the Create Dieline drop-down menu, [2] which you will find in the footer of the Technical Colors settings area, [1] on the Print Data tab of the Print Item detail view.

This Fixup group can be used to create Dielines in different ways. Dielines can be added to the ImageBox, around an irregular shape, and from the center of the image. In addition, another Dieline can be added to the Article or Print Item to create a thru-cut and a kiss-cut dieline for sticker production.

Find additional Fixups for these purposes by selecting the Search Terms Dieline and the Process Add or Create on the Data Preparation tab.
