Updated on

In this article, you will learn

  • why Fixups are offered under the Print Data tab,
  • how to locate Fixups in the Print Data tab,
  • which groups of Fixups are available under the Print Data tab.

1. Overview

Print Items can be edited in the Workflow using Fixups. Each time a Fixup is applied, a new version of the Print Item is automatically created. Fixups can be accessed at two different points in the Workflow:

  • In Article, Order and Production Job, the most frequently used Fixups are available in the Print Data tab.
  • The Data Preparation tab contains all available fixups – over 130 – including those that are also displayed in the Print Data tab. The number of Fixups can grow in the standard scope, but it can also be expanded with custom Fixups.

The most frequently used Fixups can be found in the form of Fixup Groups [1] in selection menus in the footers of the respective areas. If Fixup Groups are grayed out, then these fixes either cannot be applied due to missing content (e.g., if there are no fonts in the print file, no fonts can be converted to paths) or the appropriate permission is missing.
