Installing Workflow as PWA from Chrome

1. Introduction

Progressive Web Apps are web applications that provide a native app-like experience right in your browser.

2. Adding Chrome PWA on your desktop

There are two different methods you can use to install a Progressive Web App (PWA) on your laptop. Each approach has its own steps, and are outlined in detail below:

2.1. Via the Toolbar Icons

To install the Workflow from the toolbar icon, follow the steps below:

  1. Start the Chrome browser on your laptop.
  2. Open the website you want to download as a Progressive Web App (PWA).
  3. Locate the installation prompt [2] in the address bar of the Chrome interface.
  4. Click the Button Install [1] to start the installation process.
  5. Once installed, you can access the PWA from the desktop, Start menu, or application launcher for a seamless, app-like experience.

2.2. Via the Crome menu

To install Workflow from the Chrome menu, follow these steps:

  1. Start the Chrome browser on your laptop.
  2. Open the website you want to download as a Progressive Web App (PWA).
  3. Navigate to the Chrome menu > Cast, Save, and Share and click the Option Install Page as App... [3].
  4. A dialog similar to the one shown in Figure 1 opens.
  5. Click Install to complete the process.
